In September 2023, the United Nations will do a review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unfortunately, the two Goals related to human trafficking (SDG 5.2 and SDG 8.7) are missing in the mid-term review process as the UN meets to take stock of its progress.

Write to the United Nations Secretary-General now to demand that SDG 5.2 and SDG 8.7 be included in the 2023 policy review of the SDGs.

Children account for more than half of all trafficking victims in America. Young people need information now on how to spot the warning signs, how to stand up to predators, how to protect themselves and seek help.

The Human Trafficking and Exploitation Prevention Training Act provides US schools with the resources to identify and provide critical services to at-risk youth, and educate all of us, children, and adults, on key warning signs so we are equipped to prevent abductions and abuse. If you are based in the US, ask your lawmakers to co-sponsor this bill today.

Sign the Freedom Pledge

Author Ruchira Gupta has said ‘I believe in a world in which no human being is bought or sold.’

To achieve that aim, she has created the Freedom Pledge. With components ranging from ‘Honor the inherent worth and dignity of every person’ to ‘Seek laws and policies that punish the perpetrator-those who buy and sell human beings and those who profit from their sale’, the Freedom pledge is a clear call to action.
